Getting Started

1. Are you easily distracted by things -- the wanting, the hunting, the shopping and the getting of things? If so, why?

2. How many of your decisions are subtly or overtly affected by greed? How much of what you do is driven by greed?

3. How content are you really with what you have?

4. How in tune are you with Jesus’ two assumptions about money -- all material things belong to God and we are stewards of our possessions and responsible to God for what we do with them?

5. Have you ever had a falling out with a family member or friend over money? Explain.

6. Define the phrase “entitlement mentality.” How entitled are you? Are you thinking that the world owes you something? Are you looking to others to do something for you rather than focusing on what you can do for yourself?

7. How much of your financial decision-making is driven by fear? If so, what are you afraid of?

8. What do you do with surpluses, when you suddenly come into money, when you’ve been abundantly blessed?
