2012 February 13 Passage: Gen. 5:1-9:17
What we talked about: • The story of Noah and the Flood • That God Rescued ancient man through Noah • That God rescued all men through Jesus
Activity: Write these numbers (really big) on a piece of paper: 3, 40, 450, 2, 75, 7, 600, 45, 150, 601, and 8. Look through the scripture that tells about the Great Flood (Genesis 5:1 – 9:17) and identify how each of these numbers fits into the story.
Family Bible Time: Read the following verses and use the questions to discuss what you read.
Exodus 20:4-5 • What do these verses tell us that God is? • What would make God jealous? • What sorts of things do we try to make our god?
Acts 4:12 • What does this verse tell us about being saved? • Why do people turn to other things trying to receive salvation? • What do you think God feels like when we turn to these other things?
Revelation 3:20 • This verse tells us that God is knocking on what? • What does this mean? • Why does God not open the door on His side and force us into a relationship with Him? • What does God promise to do if we open the door of our heart to Him?
Scripture Memorization
Psalms 18:2-3 “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.”
