February Haircut Outreach Serves 61 Kids!

On Sunday, February 28th, Vineyard OP partnered with Paul Mitchell School at 95th and Antioch to offer free kid's haircuts for families in need. This was done to bless the families of our city in this time of financial uncertainty. 61 kids from right here in Overland Park received free haircuts! Over the two shifts we offered, 9 licensed stylists volunteered their time to cut the kid's hair, foregoing even tips for the opportunity to help out these families. This past weekend, I had the honor of teaching the final message for the Take Your God To Work Day series here at Vineyard OP. We took a hard look together at the culture of fear and anxiety that has been nurtured in our society around the uncertainty of the future, specifically regarding employment (or should I say un- or under-employment?).
