It was a smoldering Thursday night on June 24th when nine of our Vineyard OP travelers who will are headed to Ecuador for the 2010 Summer Outreach got together. Twenty Breakthrough students and leaders met for the third consecutive year at Indian Creek Nursing home on May 22nd to serve the Senior Citizens. We call this the "Serve Your City Breathrough Service Project". We pulled weeds, prepared flower beds, and picked up trash. After three hours of intense manual labor, the Breakthrough team collected three very large garbage bags full of weeds, and several garbage bags of trash. On Saturday, June 12th, Convoy of Hope is holding an event for the people of Kansas City. The event is being held at Swope Park, and they are still looking for volunteers to help staff the many positions required to do something of this magnitude.
